MY ANGEL

To look at her is to love her
She is my child
More than that
She is an angel
God sent to me for a while
To teach her about life
Not just material things
Nurture her and teach her
To spread her wings
One day she’ll leave
When it’s time for her to go
To spread the joy of the lord
To those who don’t know
What I do know and will always believe
Is that the lord trusted one of his angels to me.
